Three Everyday Cards......

Afternoon everyone!

Hope everyone is warm and snuggy on this dreary Saturday, definitely a day for crafting in the warmth.

Just wanted to share a few simple cards that I made in the week with some of my new sale purchases from Craftwork Cards.  With all the cards I make for friends and family, I've found myself having to 'rush' a card or three at the last minute because the ones I have made already, have the wrong sentiments or are the wrong colour for the occasion.  Thought I would, therefore, make a few fairly neutral ones that I could add a sentiment to for any occasion.  Organised or what!!!!!

Ingredients:  3basic square cards, fab, lush papers from Craftwork Cards, stickles, liquid pearls, any flower stamp, scrap of chipboard, scrap of digi card, small flower punch and edger punch, fine tip white pen.........

Punched some tiny flowers from white Craftwork Cards digi card, drew some faux stitching around the edge of chipboard, stuck flowers into a little bunch and then drew white steams (not very well!!), and added a little bow from string that was round a parcel (recycling is good!).  A dot of gold liquid pearls in the centre of each flower and a little star dust stickling on random flowers and then place in middle of white card - one ready for the next 'whatever' event!

Three simple rectangles....... This one just had print paper cut in 3 rectangles, block colour cut in 3 slightly larger rectangles.  I am not a measurer, unless I'm making a box lid or similar I do everything by eye, not sure if it's a good idea but it works for me most of the time!! 'mat' printed rectangle on top of block colour and place the three horizontally on card.  The printed paper had a few butterflies in the corners so have cut these out and used on the card.  I curled slightly, glazed with some glossy accents to give definition and strengthen.  Punched 3 little circles and made 'home made' contrasting candi by layering on top of 3 candi and popped on bottom rectangle to finish off card.

Printed flower.... Well, I'd better fess up, this started life as what I thought was an ATC, (ok so did the first card!!) told you all I was better at measuring by eye!!! Cut the card wrong and only discovered when I made a box for ATCs that they  were too big to fit!!  Anyway, no more digressing......  Sliced edge from a square card and added non- ATC (stamped flower outlined with stickles and edges of card finished with liquid pearls).  Punched border along inside of card, stuck strip of contrasting paper behind and decorated with liquid pearls. Finished off with a couple of strips of contrasting paper (sale 12 x 12 papers) one to front left of card and one to left of punched border.

Hope you have a happy crafting weekend with some of your great Craftwork Cards stash. Imagine the excitement for those of you who are lucky enough to live nearby to the new outlet and workshop, I so, so wish I lived in Leeds, I'd be first in the queue next Saturday!!

Until my next blog, keep happy and keep crafting.............
