One sketch - three cards with a view

The month has flown by since by last blog post. I'm back again this month with another sketch and three cards made using the sketch. I have called the post 'three cards with a view' as each of my three cards have an aperture in the front of the card so you are looking at the view inside the card..

This is my sketch for March...
For my first card I have used an Elegant Tunnel Card for my card blank. I have used the lovely diecut Kraft Flowers from Craftwork Cards to decorate the card.

I decorated the inside of the card with the petal sections that pop out from the diecut flowers. Once dry I trimmed off any pieces that when over the edge of the card.

For the front of the card I coloured a variety of Kraft Flowers using ink pads (dye-based) and a blending tool.

I layered the pink flowers on top of each other to form the large bloom. I cut the petal off the yellow flower and I used the remaining circle for the centre of the flower. The green flowers I cut out into sections and used then as leaves. Once dry I attached the flower to the front of the tunnel card.

I drew small black dots around the aperture with a fineliner. To finish the card I added black Candi and circle sentiment.

For my second card I used an Elegant Edge 148x148 card blank. I cut a square aperture in the front of the card using a Spellbinder die. I used blue spot and green gingham papers from the new Flower Fusion Paper Pack for the front frame and inside of the card.

Inside the card I added a square of blue spot paper. Onto this I stamped the green stems using a stamp from Craftwork Cards Candi Stamps - Build a Bloom. I added two Kraft Flowers and yellow Candi inside the card.

The butterfly was made from coloured Kraft Flower petals. I used a long petal for the body and large and small oval petals for the wings.

I used wet glue to stick the butterfly together. Once dry I added to the front of the card. I added faux stitching to the front and inside of the card. To finish I added black Candi and sentiment.

For my third card I again used papers from the the new Flower Fusion Paper Pack. I used the Birds 'n' Trees Template to create the trees, bird and birdhouse shapes.

I used a kraft embossed card blank from Craftwork Cards. I cut out a rectangle from the front of the card so you could see the tree view inside. Again I finished the card with black Candi and sentiment.

I hope you like my card and I have given you some crafty inspiration to create your own 'card with a view'.

Another great trio of cards, love the butterfly made from the Kraft flowers and how you used the 'waste' of the petals too to make the daisies, gorgeous! X
